Summary:
The Community Education & Implementation Program (CEIP) Director provides strategic leadership, vision, and oversight for the development, implementation, and long-term sustainability of Manzanita House’s Community Education & Implementation Program. CEIP strengthens the capacity of private and public institutions to intentionally, effectively, and culturally responsibly engage immigrant and refugee communities in Spokane and surrounding regions.
The CEIP Director leads program expansion, supervises CEIP staff—including the CEIP Manager and Cultural Engagement Navigator—designs and scales culturally informed training models, and ensures strong alignment between community engagement efforts and CEIP goals. The role includes marketing and outreach strategy development, partnership cultivation, systems-building, outcome tracking, and collaboration with the Executive Director and Development Director on grants, reporting, and funding strategy.
This position requires strong leadership, communication skills, cultural awareness, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Essential Functions:
Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Community Education & Implementation Program.
Develop and refine the CEIP program structure, long-term strategy, and sustainability plan.
Supervise, mentor, and support CEIP program staff, including the CEIP Manager and Cultural Engagement Navigator.
Build and maintain relationships with institutional partners, clients, supporters, and community stakeholders.
Lead CEIP marketing, outreach, and visibility efforts; develop communication and social media campaigns highlighting program impact.
Represent Manzanita House and CEIP at community meetings, events, outreach activities, and strategic partnerships.
Identify opportunities for earned revenue, program growth, and expansion into new sectors.
Oversee program documentation, data systems, evaluation reports, and outcome tracking.
Coordinate program logistics, events, and engagement opportunities connected to CEIP delivery.
Ensure alignment and coordination across community engagement initiatives to maximize organizational impact.
Collaborate with the Executive Director and Development Director on grant writing, reporting, and funding strategy related to CEIP.
Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and organizational learning.
Provide language access, translation, or interpretation as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience designing and facilitating training or educational programming.
Strong marketing, outreach, and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to grow initiatives from concept to implementation and expansion.
Experience supervising staff and developing emerging leaders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English required; proficiency in a second language strongly preferred.
Experience working cross-culturally with immigrant and refugee communities.
Experience with grassroots organizing and systems change approaches (preferred).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Office 365.
Ability to measure outcomes and track program data.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of immigrant and refugee community dynamics, cultural humility principles, and cross-cultural communication.
Understanding of program development, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability strategies.
Knowledge of marketing, outreach, and communication strategies.
Familiarity with nonprofit operations, grant writing processes, and donor engagement.
Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and culturally responsive approaches (preferred).

Effective written communication, including reports, outreach materials, and grant content.

Work Environment
